Constructed from baltic birch plywood and poplar board from Atlanta Hardwood Corporation, sealed with teak oil. |

Using a basic lighting kit (a cord with a bulb on one end and a plug on the other), I designed this lamp to ship in parts and be assembled at home.
It is inspired by the sailing ships and the ocean. The 'sail' begins as a flat sheet of polycarbonate, but 5 fasteners, combined with the wood frame, give it surprising complex curvature. |
